Following completion of my career as a Health Service Manager at Karitane in 2017, my life is now much quieter.

I realise that all the online training taken in Health over the years have made me very versatile.

Last year I reinvented myself to become a Medical Writer.

Firstly I enrolled in an online course Diploma of Healthcare Documentation 10478NAT, which I completed the first week of January 2020. I undertook this to ensure that I could write and was up to date with medical terminology and especially new drugs and medications.

I expected to find the course boring, but it ended up being very stimulating and at times quite challenging. I am now ready to undertake some work as a medical writer and am interested in any emerging freelance opportunities which may arise. Everything is changing, and not long ago it would have been impossible for people like me ( I remain an RN registered with AHPRA) to work online. I have discovered that there are many directions that I can take.

I look forward to some writing challenges!
